Why we want you
For more than 140 years, Cycling UK has been inspiring people to cycle. We believe that cycling is more than just transport; it’s fun, makes you feel good, gives you a sense of freedom and creates a better environment for everyone.
We know you share our vision for a better world by walking, wheeling and cycling. As an event volunteer you would help maintain valuable relationships between local communities, cycle groups and other partners, and raise awareness of Cycling UK and the benefits of cycling.
What you will be doing
- Attend local community events, such as community festivals, fetes or awareness days to represent Cycling UK
- Help with the smooth running of the event and ensure an enjoyable and supported experience for participants and the public
- Be ready to help with various tasks such as registering participants, collect surveys, cover a stand or put up/take down signage
- Help to create a friendly and inclusive atmosphere
The skills you need
- Confidence to interact with the public
- An interest in the benefits of cycling
- Friendly, welcoming and encouraging attitude
- Ability to work with a team of volunteers
