Trail Maintenance Volunteer (Manchester)

Why we want you The Tame Valley Loop is a waymarked offroad cycle route that follows bridleways and trails throughout Tameside and Oldham. Tame Valley MTB Association is looking for volunteers to help with maintenance and upkeep along the Tame Valley Loop, and other offroad riding routes in the area, to enable to continuous and safe use of the trails by mountain bike riders.

What you will be doing Identifying and repairing trail/route hazards Clearing vegetation, maintaining = drainage channels, picking up litter, removing hazards Safe use of tools, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), equipment and resources

The skills you need Knowledge of off road trails and features identify and repair varied trail/route issues Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment and trail maintenance tools and correct usage Able to work with a team of volunteers and professionals Reliable, well-organised and punctual
